Editor's note
The second Free Press Journal Mumbai Schools Survey saw double the enthusiasm and entries compared to the previous year. Despite the ongoing pandemic, the educational sector remained dynamic. As a matter of policy, we at Free Press Journal are proud not to rank schools. We choose to emphasise fairness instead. In 2023, we found that Central Mumbai had 81.8% of schools with playgrounds, Western Mumbai had 93.1%, and South Mumbai led with 95.8%. Every school surveyed had a library, highlighting their enduring importance despite digital technology. This data sheds light on the education landscape and helps parents make informed choices.
